At the Big Plant Nursery we supply a wide variety of evergreen, deciduous and native Hedging from our Garden Centre near Reading. We also have a network of specialist hedging growers and can source still wider ranges and varieties to order.
Bamboo Screening Berkshire
Bamboo is one example of a very popular and cost effective screening plant as it is fast growing, narrow, evergreen and tall. At our Garden Centre in Berkshire we stock a number of clump forming varieties that are perfect for hedging. With the correct planting and maintenance it's easy to quickly create an evergreen screen that will not invade Berkshire as many people think!
Our hedging ans screening plants can be supplied in a variety of sizes with some lines specifically grown to provide instant seclusion. So if you want to screen out an unwanted view, create some privacy or simply define your boundary please contact us.

Root ball and Bare rooted plants
As well as providing plants in containers, we also supply more economical ‘Root ball’ and ‘Bare root’ plants. These are available to supply between November and March only but we can normally take orders from October onward.
Our horticulturalists will be delighted to discuss your hedging and screening needs and help you select the most appropriate solution. If you come armed or can send us a photo of the area you want to screen and an idea of the soil and light conditions, this will help us to give you the most appropriate advice. Alternatively one of our experts can come to you.
