We have many trees and shrubs to choose from to add winter colour and scent to the garden. Just a small selection of our favourites here on the nursery are featured below. Our stock changes all the time so it’s best to pop in and visit where we’ll help you choose the best plants for your garden.

Winter Flower and Scent:

For scent choose Daphne odora, Edgeworthia, Sarcococca and Mahonia. For colour Skimmia Rubella and Viburnum tinus are looking great at the nursery right now.

Fantastic Foliage:

All evergreen these reliable shrubs are guaranteed to brighten the winter garden and add permanent structure.

Merry Berries:

Full of berries here on the nursery as we start November are Pyracantha, holly and Nandina domestica. Ideal for instant colour.

Winter Bark:

You can’t beat the shining effect of white birch on a winter day, or the coppery peeling bark of Prunus serrula.

Many of our deciduous trees have interesting bark in addition to other ornamental features such as blossom and autumn colour.

Now is the perfect time to plant trees.

Cracking Climbers:

Choose from a host of evergreen climbers on frames including orange and red berried Pyracantha, evergreen Honeysuckle, evergreen clematis, Ivy and a pink Chaenomeles in flower now.
