Description
Also known as the Chinese fountain bamboo, young stems emerging bright green, turning golden orange then maturing to a bright reddish brown, in their second or third year. The slender canes sprouting upwards and slightly arching with elegant vivid green leaves. They form a dense clump with upright growth making them particularly good for hedging, screening, and narrow boarders. Preferring a more sheltered position and moist to well-drained soil, part shaded or full sun, this clump forming evergreen bamboo would work in many locations or garden types and is low maintenance.
