Description

‘Francis Rivis’ is a medium-sized deciduous climber with narrow, serrate leaflets. Slender flowers with four tapering, clear light violet-blue sepals are around 5cm in length, surrounding prominent cream staminodes and stamens in early to late spring with occasional flowers in late summer. An ideal choice for creating a cottage garden, like most clematis it can be grown up an obelisk, trellis or fence, in borders or on a patio in containers.
This Clematis is in pruning group 1, which flower early in the year and should be pruned after flowering in mid to late spring.
Prefers full sun and partial shade but will cope in any aspect.
Tolerates any soil condition as long as it’s moist and well drained.
Final height: 1.5m-2.5m tall, 1-1.5m wide.
