A distinctive, columnar Beech prized for its deep purple foliage and strong vertical form. Narrow and upright, it makes an excellent feature tree where space is limited. Glossy leaves emerge rich burgundy in spring, darkening through summer before turning coppery tones in autumn. Reaching 15-20m tall while remaining slender, ‘Dawyck Purple’ is tolerant of most soils including chalk and full sun or partial shade.
