Dryopteris affinis ‘Cristata the King’
A bold, semi-evergreen fern valued for its strong upright habit and impressive architectural presence. It forms large arched crested fronds of rich green, creating a striking vertical accent in shaded borders, woodland gardens and damp areas. Thriving in partial to full shade, it prefers moist, humus-rich soil and it is an excellent choice for naturalistic schemes. Typically reaching 1–1.5 metres in height and same in spread providing structure and texture in shaded settings.
