Description
‘Miner’s Merlot’ is a low-maintenance, evergreen perennial with dark green leaves flushed with reddish-purple hues, especially when young. The foliage retains hints of red throughout the summer, particularly on the undersides of the leaves, adding subtle dimension and interest. As temperatures cool in autumn, the colour deepens dramatically to a near-black shade. Its upright, compact form makes it ideal for borders, and containers. During the spring, clusters of yellow-green flowers emerge, creating a vivid contrast against the rich foliage. Drought-tolerant and hardy, it thrives in well-draining soil and full sun to partial shade.
