Calycanthus × raulstonii ‘Hartlage Wine’

Calycanthus ‘Hartlage Wine’ is a distinctive deciduous shrub, grown for its unusual and attractive flowers. From early to late summer, it produces large, star-shaped blooms in a rich wine-red with a cream centre, lightly scented for subtle fragrance. The deep green foliage forms an attractive backdrop, turning golden-yellow in autumn for seasonal interest. With an eventual height and spread of 2.5–4m, ‘Hartlage Wine’ is ideal as a statement plant in mixed borders.
