Lonicera japonica ‘Halliana’ is a vigorous twining large evergreen climber with glossy, ovate, dark green leaves and highly fragrant, white flowers in summer, up to 4cm in length, that mature to a creamy buff-yellow as they are pollinated. Red and/or black berries appear in autumn.
A brilliant choice for screening fences and pergolas where the fragrance can be enjoyed it is also very much at home scrambling through other climbers or a hedge.
Suited to coastal, cottage and informal gardens we supply ours on trellises.
Tie in new growth as it appears. Prune after flowering to keep in shape.
Tolerates most soil conditions, as long as it’s moist and well drained
Best in full sun or partial shade.
Final height: 4-8m tall, 1-1.5m wide.
