So many things to love about this dogwood! Aside from the amazingly colourful stems in winter, this shrub has terrific autumn colour turning yellow, orange and red before the leaves fall. Unsurprisingly the RHS has given it its Award of Garden Merit as it’s spring flowers are great for pollinators too. Plant in masses for the best effect.
Height and spread 1.5-2.5 metres if left unpruned.
Plant in moist but well drained, sunny/partial shade position.
