It features glossy, dark green leaves that form a dense, rounded habit, making it ideal for hedging and screening. From late autumn through spring, clusters of pink buds open to small white flowers, providing valuable winter colour and attracting pollinators. These are followed by blue-black berries that add further ornamental appeal.
