Description
Malus domestica encompasses numerous apple cultivars with diverse flavours, colours, and textures. Apples are appreciated for their versatility in culinary applications, from fresh eating to juices, pies, sauces, and more. Fragrant clusters of white to pale pink flowers appear in the spring followed by the iconic fruit. Height 4m.
Some varieties are not self-fertile and will require a different variety as a pollinating partner.
Prefers moist but well drained soil in a sheltered position. Full sun, although some can tolerate partial shade.
