Description
Carex ‘Irish green’ is a dense clump-forming grass with lush green sword-like leathery leaves, arching over when reaching maturity and with pale brown flower spikelets in the summer months. This evergreen to semi-evergreen plant, needs minimal maintenance, just a tidy up in winter months, and works well in many schemes, from cottage gardens to formal borders, containers, and patios.
Grows well in moist, preferably loamy soil in partial shade, it will tolerate full shade to almost full sun, as leaves can scorch in full sun.
