Description
Commonly known as Omeo Gum, this charming evergreen tree is fast growing when young but slows down as the tree ages. The smooth creamy white bark peel away in patches to reveal pale grey or greenish bark underneath contrasting with the lance shaped glossy green fragrant leaves. When young, the leaves are rounded and green tinged with purple. Large clusters of white flowers appear in the summer. Perfect for year-round interest in the garden. Height 12m Spread 8m.
Grows best in moist but well drained would but can also tolerate wetter soils. Shelter from cold drying winds when young. Full sun or partial shade.
