Description
One of the more popular bamboos due to its unique look and hardy nature. Its brightly coloured canes are a golden yellow with a flash of green stripe in the groove and occasional zigzags in the lower stems. Surging up from these canes is a flurry of lush green narrow lance shaped long leaves, which create movement and a relaxing rustle in the wind. A great choice for a tall privacy screening, along a back boarder or potting up on a patio. The best specimens needs shelter but space to grow, so if planting in a pot it may need to be potted on into a bigger container, it prefers moist but well drained soil with full sun or partial shade.
