Description
‘Skylark’ is a compact evergreen shrub with finely toothed, glossy dark green leaves and clusters of deep blue flowers in early summer.
A really good, all round garden plant that can be planted in almost any location, suiting flower beds and borders, wall side borders, fences, banks or slopes. Ceanothus in varieties also works well when grown in a container.
Generally, pest free and requiring minimal pruning, Ceanothus a good option for low maintenance gardens.
Grows well in a sheltered position in full sun.
After flowering, prune the shoots by one third and remove any dead or damaged branches. Feed and mulch to provide the nutrients needed.
Likes moist well drained soil. Will not thrive on chalk.
Final height: 1.5m-2.5m tall, 1.5-2.5m wide.
