Description

Also known as Dutch woodbine, Lonicera ‘Belgica’ is a vigorous deciduous climber with paired ovate leaves and a profusion of fragrant red-flushed white flowers, ageing to yellow, in early summer, followed by red berries in autumn.
A hardy climber, this variety will happily scramble over walls, fences or pergolas for a striking floral display. Its loose, spreading habit makes it a particularly attractive choice for cottage or wildlife gardens.
Suited to coastal, cottage and informal gardens we supply ours on trellises.
Tie in new growth as it appears and prune after flowering to keep in shape.
Tolerates most soil conditions, as long as it’s moist and well drained.
Best in full sun or partial shade.
Final height: 4-8m tall, 1-1.5m wide.
