The Handkerchief tree makes a fine specimen as a focal point and works well in urban gardens or courtyards. It known as the Handkerchief tree or Dove tree, becuase of its large white handkerchief looking bracts which delicately hang atop the oval fruit. Its heart shaped to ovoid stays a fresh green till the autumn when they phase to a striking yellow to orange ombre.
