Description
This graceful yet tall and robust fern is also commonly known as Black Wood Fern which gets its names from the black stems which contrast intensely with the bright green lance-shaped fronds composed of many narrow slightly over lapping pinnae. For planting, the foliage looks very attractive with herbaceous perennials and shrubs, it has a preference to be in a more sheltered spot and performs best in full to partial shade, moist but well-draining soil.
