Description
A vigorous variety and heavy cropper, this dessert and culinary apple is juicy and crisp with a sweet taste. Pale pink flowers appear in the Spring followed by large red flush over stripes of gold fruit. Harvest from mid-autumn and store until January/February. Height 3-7m.
‘Jonagold’ is a triploid and will require 2 additional apple trees from pollination groups 2, 3 or 4, for cross pollination. A triploid has sterile pollen and cannot cross pollinate another apple variety.
Grow in well drained or moist but well drained soil in a sheltered position. Full sun or partial shade but will crop best in a sunny position.
