Description
Valued for its flavourful and aesthetically pleasing fruit, this popular and widely grown variety is sweet and juicy. Clusters of white flowers appear in the spring followed by russet green-brown skin. A classic choice for the garden. Harvest late September and store until November. Grown on ‘Quince A’ rootstock, Height 3-4m.
‘Conference’ is a self-fertile variety but can cross pollinate with other pear trees in pollination groups 3 or 4.
Grow in well drained or moist but well drained soil in a sheltered position. Full sun.
